According to 411mania.com, Brock Lesnar (2-1) knocked out Randy Couture (16-8) in the 2nd round to become the new MMA Heavyweight Champion.
Lesnar dominated the first round, giving his knees to Couture several times as they were tied up against the cage. Towards the end of the round, Couture worked for a takedown, but the round ended before he could make it happen. Lesnar wins the round.
In the second round, Lesnar hurt Couture right away with an elbow. After they grappled, and traded knee shots against the cage, Lesnar caught Couture with a couple elbows, and an overhand right that did the final deed. Lesnar jumped on Couture and pummeled him until the ref stopped the fight.
